Department of Critical Care Medicine

The Department of Critical Care Medicine at Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) was established in 2014. Our department consists of three Intensive Care Units (ICU), with a total of 52 beds. These units are designed to accommodate the highly technical and care-specific needs of critically ill and high dependency patients. Our teams of experts comprise of physicians and surgeons from various specialties including Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Acute Surgery, Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic surgery. The department is equipped with a team of eight well-trained specialist nurse practitioners who have experience in managing critically ill patients. In addition, we are staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of Nurse Manager, Respiratory Therapists, Critical Care Pharmacist and Clinical Dietitian.
