 Before Your Visit

MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE

  • Book an appointment using our Request an Appointment page or use the “What would you like to address today” on the Home page if you require help choosing which department to see. 

 

​WHAT TO PREPARE

  • Remember to:

    • Bring your appointment confirmation page, National Insurance card (if you have it), and another form of personal identification (passport or photograph ID).

    • Look through the new patient registration process for the day of the appointment and how to get around TMUH.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

  • TMUH is easily accessible at the heart of downtown Taipei and 10 minutes on foot from Taipei 101 MRT station. We also offer free shuttles from various MRT locations and a parking garage open 24 hours 7 days a week. Please view our Getting to TMUH page for more information. 

 

 During Your Visit

NEW PATIENT REGISTRATION

  • We recommend you arrive an hour before your scheduled appointment time. 

  • As a new patient to TMUH, you will need to go to the First Time Registration/Volunteer desk located in Building 3, 1F. Please ask any of the personnel in pink vests if you require assistance; they can help direct you to the Registration desk. 

  • You will need to measure your weight, height, blood pressure using the devices located next to the desk as well as fill out the following forms: New patient registration, Patient consent form, and Patient’s Initial (Self) Evaluation (download form here). 

  • Once you have completed the registration process, please go to the outpatient department directly and please insert your national health insurance card at the check-in kiosks. 

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

SEEING YOUR DOCTOR

  • Refer to our TMUH maps to find your appointment room or ask a pink-vest wearing personnel for help.

  • Go to your appointment room and check-in by inserting your NHI card into the check-in kiosk on the wall in front of your appointment room.

  • During the appointment:

    • The nurse/doctor will ask for your NHI card.

    • If you need to return for a follow-up visit, the nurse/doctor will make you an appointment right there. You will receive a white follow-up visit slip.

PAYING YOUR MEDICAL BILLS

  • You will need to line back up at the Registration/Cashier Service in the lobby of Building 3 with your NHI card and ID

  • On subsequent visits, you’ll be able to pay using any of the following methods:

    • Registration/Cashier Service in lobby of Building 3, 1 floor.

    • Automated Bill Pay machines located on the first floors of Building 3 and 2.

    • A Cashier Service located in Building 2, 1 floor - next to the Sun Merry Bakery.

 

PICKING UP YOUR MEDICATION

  • Pick up your medication at the pharmacy located next to the Starbucks in Building 3, first floor.

    • ​Check your form for your medication pick-up number - even or odd - then line up accordingly.

 After Your Visit

FOLLOW-UP VISITS

  • You can check your next appointment by going to our My Appointments page. 

  • On the day of, you can also check your appointment using our automated check-in kiosks located in the lobby of Building 3, first floor.
