Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) and Coordinative Board of Chinese Language Education in West Java Indonesia (CBCLEWJI) signed the International Medical Referral Cooperation Agreement on November 14. Witnessed by Minister Wu Hsin-hsing of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), the agreement was signed by Superintendent of TMUH, Dr. Chen Ray-jade and the Board’s Chairman of the Steering Committee Louis Lauw, signifying a further step forward in the promotion of Taiwan’s medical services.
In his speech, Wu said that this agreement is the first cooperation agreement signed by an overseas community group and a domestic medical institution since President Tsai’s government took office. He pointed out that the OCAC is currently promoting the Health Checkup Consulting Service that encourages overseas compatriots to return to Taiwan for self-financed health examinations. He also stated that Taiwan has been highly rated in medical services by various international media, showing that people will be satisfied with health examinations in Taiwan.
Dr. Ray-Jade Chen said that, through cooperation among government, Indonesian overseas community groups and the hospital, to date over 130 Indonesians and overseas Chinese from Indonesia have been treated at TMUH. The signing of the agreement with CBCLEWJI has established a mechanism that will facilitate regular interaction between two sides ion since President Tsai’s government took office. He pointed out that the OCAC is currently promoting the Health Checkup Consulting Service that encourages overseas compatriots to return to Taiwan for self-financed health examinations. He also stated that Taiwan has been highly rated in medical services by various international media, showing that people will be satisfied with health examinations in Taiwan.
The Board’s Chairman Ir. Judhi Irawan Leonard stated that, arranged by the OCAC, a large number of its members had a health examination at TMUH and gave very good reviews in November last year. Therefore, during this visit, as well as going to various educational establishments, 19 members of the group have undertaken self-financed health examination, experiencing Taiwan’s high-quality medical services. the OCAC is currently promoting the Health Checkup Consulting Service that encourages overseas compatriots to return to Taiwan for self-financed health examinations. He also stated that Taiwan has been highly rated in medical services by various international media, showing that people will be satisfied with health examinations in Taiwan.
