The Taipei Medical University Hospital was founded in August 1976.  Due to the demand on emergency medical services, the Division of Emergency Medicine was formally established in January 1999. Under the effort of the department staff members, the number of the patients of critical and intensive care has increased.  In order to provide our patients and the families with a more efficient and comfortable environment, the department’s space was expanded in May 2016.

With increasing patient demands and requests for quality medical care, emergency medicine has been marked much more significant daily.  Not only do our outstanding experts provide first-rate medical care, we also aim to be an exceptional clinical teaching environment to ensure the emergency medical services.  Supported by a multi-specialist team, the department's team is patient-centered and has formed itself a complete critical and intensive medical care team.  We treat our patients as our families and apply ourselves to rescue and care for our critical and intensive care patients.
